After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Farmington, Rosemount was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Eastview Lightning 3-0. The Irish have beaten the Lightning the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lightning has come to flipping the script.

Rosemount was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Sophie Williams paced Rosemount's offense, picking up 14 kills. Williams got some help from Payten Diekmann and her 27 assists. Meredith Olsen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rosemount's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Eastview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rosemount will take on rival Apple Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eastview is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakeville South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
