Volleyball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bishop Guilfoyle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homer-Center Wildcats. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Bishop Guilfoyle wouldn't go down easily and took Homer-Center into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Homer-Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joss Bence out in front who had 18 digs. The dominant performance also gave Bence a new career-high in kills (four). Ashlyn Yount was another key player, getting 35 assists and five digs.

Bishop Guilfoyle's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Homer-Center, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Guilfoyle will face off against Bellwood-Antis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homer-Center, they will square off against Marion Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
