Softball Recap: Casteel's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Casteel posted their closest victory since February 26th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the JW North Huskies. The victory was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Casteel's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for JW North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Casteel will face off against Mountain Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Mountain Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season. As for JW North, they will challenge Redlands East Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Redlands East Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so JW North's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
