Volleyball Recap: St. Anne Falls Despite Big Games from Tessa Deyoung and Quinlin Kirkland + How To Watch

St. Anne lost against Tri-Point back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Anne was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Tri-Point work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 27-25, 25-21.

Quinlin Kirkland and Tessa DeYoung certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Kirkland had six digs and four aces, while DeYoung had 13 kills and six digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Kirkland, who had six digs and two aces.

St. Anne's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tri-Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

St. Anne will welcome Clifton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Point, they will head out to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
