Basketball Recap: Meigs Comes Up Short

Meigs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Vinton County Vikings and fell 59-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Marauders have suffered against the Vikings since January 7, 2021.

Meigs' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Vinton County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Meigs will be home for the holidays to greet Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Athens will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Meigs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Vinton County, they will venture away from home to take on Logan at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
