Basketball Recap: Weatherly Takes a Loss

On Saturday, Weatherly took a blow against the Bethlehem Christian Panthers, falling 83-49.

When it comes to explaining why Weatherly lost, don't look at Ian Mckeegan. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Mckeegan's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Niko Saldukas was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

Weatherly's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Bethlehem Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Weatherly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-39 victory against Millville on the 27th. As for Bethlehem Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley Forge Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m.
