Recap: Timber Creek Falcons vs. Keller Indians
The Timber Creek Falcons entered their tilt with the Keller Indians with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Timber Creek secured a 35-31 W over Keller on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timber Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dozie Ezukanma, who picked up 243 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ezukanma's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Adarion Nettles was another key contributor, rushing for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Keller's loss came despite strong showings from Tre Griffiths and Beckham Robinson. Griffiths picked up 142 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Robinson threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns. Griffiths hasn't dropped below 100 receiving yards for three straight games.
Timber Creek's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.7 points per game. As for Keller, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.
Timber Creek will take on Keller Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keller Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Keller, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Haltom. Haltom will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Keller is ranked 99th).
