Baseball Recap: Rock Academy Beats Borrego Springs for Their 12th Straight Victory

Rock Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Borrego Springs Rams by a score of 10-7 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Max Gimbel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Ethan Daldo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Jace Daldo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Rock Academy's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Borrego Springs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.

As of now, neither Rock Academy nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
