Football Game Preview: Bruton Panthers vs. Poquoson Islanders + How To Watch

Bruton is 0-10 against Poquoson since October of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Islanders at 7:00 p.m. Poquoson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bruton, who comes in off a win.

Bruton took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 26-13 win over Grafton.

Bruton can attribute much of their success to Khalon Murrell, who picked up 49 receiving yards and two scores.

Bruton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sharron Gayles, Murrell, Dominique Wilson, and Derek Reynolds picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Poquoson was not quite Warhill's equal in the second half last Friday. They fell 35-28 to the Lions. The loss was the Islanders' first of the season.

Bruton's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Poquoson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
