Basketball Recap: Dysart Comes Up Short

Dysart lost against Combs back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dysart Demons came up short against the Combs Coyotes, falling 54-29. The Demons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Combs was led to victory by Jazelle Langowski and Heather Jo Bush. Langowski went 6 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Bush dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Bush is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalynn Washington, who posted four points and five steals.

Dysart's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Combs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Dysart will take on Thatcher in a tournament on Thursday. Dysart is facing Thatcher at the right time seeing as Thatcher is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Combs, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poston Butte at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
