Basketball Recap: Hamilton Heights Piles Up the Points Against Tipton

Hamilton Heights posted their biggest win since January 31, 2024 on Saturday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 57-24 victory over the Tipton Blue Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Leading Hamilton Heights to victory were Presley Cherry and Katie Brown. Cherry posted 16 points and four steals, while Brown earned 14 points. The dominant performance gave Cherry a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Abi Hilfiker, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Hamilton Heights was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tipton only posted six assists.

With the win, Hamilton Heights broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14. As for Tipton, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Hamilton Heights will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Tipton, they will host Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kokomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
