Rio Rancho faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Scorpions. The Rams have beaten the Scorpions the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Scorpions has come to flipping the script.

Rio Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Farmington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rio Rancho is set to square off against their familiar foe Volcano Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Farmington will face off against rival Cleveland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
