Softball Recap: Shippensburg Takes a Loss

Shippensburg entered their matchup against Chambersburg on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Shippensburg came up short against Chambersburg, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Greyhounds couldn't push the score so high this time.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Chambersburg, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shippensburg and Big Spring will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shippensburg's pitchers better be ready for this one: Big Spring has averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Chambersburg, they will head out to take on State College at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
