Recap: Texoma Christian Eagles vs. Petrolia Pirates
The Texoma Christian Eagles's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past Petrolia 33-31.
Despite the loss, Petrolia saw an underclassman step up: Alyssa Lands scored 6 points along with 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Holland Horton, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Texoma Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Petrolia, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Texoma Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Petrolia's road trip will continue as they head out to face Graford at 2:00 p.m. on December 1st. Graford's defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so Petrolia's offense will have their work cut out for Petrolia.
