Basketball Game Preview: Mount Vernon Bulldogs vs. Bellingham Bayhawks

The Mount Vernon Bulldogs will square off against the Bellingham Bayhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Bellingham took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mount Vernon, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Mount Vernon strolled past Sedro-Woolley with points to spare, taking the game 47-29.

Meanwhile, Bellingham was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-48 to Ferndale. The Bayhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bellingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Mount Vernon didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bellingham in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. Will Mount Vernon repeat their success, or does Bellingham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
