Sonoma Valley and Napa are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Dragons will welcome the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Monday just wasn't the day for Sonoma Valley's offense. They came up short against San Rafael on Monday, falling 10-0. The Dragons have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Napa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 11-7 to Windsor.

Napa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Priscilla Morgado Rodriguez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Carlee Daniels also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Sonoma Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Napa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Sonoma Valley took their victory against Napa in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-5 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
