Soccer Recap: Columbia's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Columbia and Lafayette combined for ten shots on goal on Monday, which explains the impressive nine total goals scored. Everything went the Columbia Tigers' way against the Lafayette Hornets as the Columbia Tigers made off with an 8-1 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Hornets are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbia's offense was hitting Lafayette from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Paola Ortiz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
