Volleyball Recap: South Kitsap Wolves vs. Emerald Ridge Jaguars

South Kitsap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Emerald Ridge Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While South Kitsap ultimately came up short, they really made Emerald Ridge work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-10, 25-16.

Lily Perez paced South Kitsap's offense, picking up seven kills. Perez got some help from Leilani Killian and her 17 assists. Finally, Elizabeth Pugh kept South Kitsap's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Kaitlynn Matthiesen was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and three assists.

South Kitsap's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Emerald Ridge, they pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
