Football Game Preview: Lyle/Wishram vs. Adrian/Jordan Valley

Lyle/Wishram are packing up and hiking across state lines for their contest on Saturday. They will challenge Adrian/Jordan Valley on the road at 1:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.

After a disappointing seven points in their last game, Lyle/Wishram made sure to put some points up on the board against Mary M. Knight last Saturday. Lyle/Wishram were fully in charge, breezing past Mary M. Knight 63-6. Among those leading the charge for Lyle/Wishram was junior Brandon Montoya, who rushed for 229 yards and 6 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Montoya's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past five games.

Meanwhile, Adrian/Jordan Valley put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Powder Valley as the team secured a 56-12 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Adrian/Jordan Valley.

Their wins bumped Adrian/Jordan Valley to 4-2 and Lyle/Wishram to 4-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Adrian/Jordan Valley and Lyle/Wishram will really light up the scoreboard.
