Basketball Recap: Vandegrift Victorious

Vandegrift proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 32) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks 41-38.

Vandegrift's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Pasadena Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vandegrift will square off against Vista Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will venture away from home to face off against Manvel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Pasadena Memorial their first taste of in-conference action this season.
