Volleyball Recap: New Holstein Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

New Holstein had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Milwaukee King Generals on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day New Holstein got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 15-9.

Riley Danes paced New Holstein's offense, picking up eight kills. Danes got some help from Makayla Meyer and her 13 assists. Danes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Makenna Bink, each putting up three.

New Holstein's win bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Milwaukee King, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

New Holstein didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sheboygan Falls on the 7th. As for Milwaukee King, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against University School of Milwaukee on the 6th.
