Football Recap: Cooper Dold's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Twin Lakes over Logansport

If Twin Lakes was feeling good fresh off their 52-3 takedown of Lafayette Central Catholic last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a 45-28 bruising from the Logansport Berries on Friday. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Twin Lakes lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cooper Dold, who threw for 329 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. A healthy portion of Dold's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Ethan Need, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

It was another big night for Elliot Baldini, who rushed for 188 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also caught one TD for Logansport. Baldini's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Twin Lakes fell to 4-1. As for Logansport, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twin Lakes will square off against Benton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Bison's rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Logansport, they will take on Hamilton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
