Softball Recap: North Catholic Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Catholic can now relate to. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Mifflin Titans on Monday. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Alanna McEnaney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Nicole Paschel was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

North Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Mifflin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither North Catholic nor West Mifflin have any future games scheduled.
