Softball Recap: Moline Comes Up Short

If Moline was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Alleman last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maroons fell just short of the Rockridge Rockets by a score of 12-11 on Wednesday. The Maroons haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Moline's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Rockridge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Moline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 defeat against Geneseo on the 10th. As for Rockridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Sherrard on the 10th.
