Softball Recap: Mora Rangers/Rangerettes vs. Pecos Panthers
In what's become a running theme this season, Mora gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-6 margin over the Pecos Panthers. Winning may never get old, but Mora sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Mora got a massive performance out of Arieanna Velasquez, who went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Velasquez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cierra Benavidez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Mora's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. As for Pecos, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Mora will head out on the road to take on McCurdy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pecos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
