After soaring to nine goals the game before, Providence Grove was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 6-1 to the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. Providence Grove's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Rylee Stover, who's now up to 27 this season.

Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Providence Grove and Uwharrie Charter Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Patriots will challenge Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (134 vs. 380). Meanwhile, Uwharrie Charter Academy (ranked 83rd) will meet Trinity (ranked 211th) at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
