Preview: Morton Potters vs. Metamora Redbirds
The Morton Potters will head out on the road to face off against the Metamora Redbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Morton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Metamora in Illinois (Morton is ranked 25th, while Metamora is ranked 220th).
Last Saturday, Morton strolled past Canton with points to spare, taking the game 49-30.
Metamora posted their biggest win since December 20, 2023 on Monday. They blew past Rochester 60-39.
Morton is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Metamora, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
Morton took their victory against Metamora when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 56-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
