Basketball Recap: Merritt Academy Comes Up Short

If Merritt Academy was riding high fresh off their 54-14 takedown of New Life Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Merritt Academy Mustangs lost 53-27 to the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 38-22 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Merritt Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. The victory snapped Our Lady of the Lakes' losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-6 record.

As of now, neither Merritt Academy nor Our Lady of the Lakes have any future games scheduled.
