Basketball Recap: McFarland Comes Up Short

McFarland lost against Mount Horeb back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McFarland Spartans lost to the Mount Horeb Vikings on the road by a 56-39 margin. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Mount Horeb, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

McFarland and Mount Horeb should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. McFarland (ranked 74th) will meet Reedsburg (ranked 262nd) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. McFarland is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Mount Horeb will face off against Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday up 407 places (9 vs. 416).
