Baseball Recap: Lake City Wins High-Profile Match Against Coeur D'alene

Lake City faced Coeur d'Alene in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Timberwolves put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 13-6 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Timberwolves' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Owen Moore was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Travis Usdrowski, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Lake City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coeur d'Alene only posted an OBP of .382.

Lake City's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Coeur d'Alene, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2-1.
