Baseball Game Preview: Don Lugo Conquistadores vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

The Don Lugo Conquistadores will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Don Lugo is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chino Hills on Thursday. The Conquistadores haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Don Lugo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Valencia, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Ramona.

The team relied heavily on Brock Foulds, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Bravo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
