Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Titans vs. Oakland Tech Bulldogs

Skyline hasn't had much luck against Oakland Tech recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Skyline Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Oakland Tech Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Skyline comes in on five and Oakland Tech on four.

Skyline will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Oakland, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Skyline walked away with a 40-31 win over Oakland on Friday.

Meanwhile, Oakland Tech strolled past Central with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-35. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 26th).

Oakland Tech's win came from a few key players Skyline will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Terri'A Russell, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhai Johnson, who had 15 points.

Oakland Tech is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Skyline took a serious blow against Oakland Tech in their previous matchup back in January, falling 66-17. Can Skyline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
