Soccer Game Preview: Radford vs. Patrick County

Radford is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to defend their home pitch against the Patrick County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Radford has three straight wins, Patrick County has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

It was a proper cat-fight when Radford took on Pulaski County last Friday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 4-2. Even though Radford got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Colin Vice was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Radford hit Pulaski County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Robert Fuksz (2), Sam Khandan-Barani, and Darren Buckland.

Meanwhile, Patrick County fell victim to Glenvar and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Highlanders.

Patrick County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Radford, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Radford took their win against Patrick County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
