Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Caden Crowell and Michael Reeves Lead Valparaiso to Victory

Valparaiso won the last time they faced Lowell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Valparaiso Vikings strolled past the Lowell Red Devils with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. That 18 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Leading Valparaiso to victory were Michael Reeves and Caden Crowell. Reeves posted 12 points and five assists, while Crowell went 5 for 9 to rack up 16 points. Crowell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Julian Stokes, who had eight points.

Despite the loss, Lowell still got an impressive performance from Brody Carter, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, Carter now owns an excellent 41.2% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Roan Vasko, who scored 11 points.

Valparaiso's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Lowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Valparaiso has already played their next contest, a 77-62 win against Merrillville on the 31st. As for Lowell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-53 loss against Andrean on the 6th.
