Softball Recap: Fairmont Golden Tornadoes vs. West Bladen Knights        
        
		
            
 Fairmont was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell just short of the West Bladen Knights by a score of  9-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fairmont of the  10-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Tuesday.
 For West Bladen's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gracie Faircloth, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. Faircloth has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kali Allen, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Fairmont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for West Bladen,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-7.
 Fairmont has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Clinton at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clinton is coming into the  game with five straight  losses on the road,  meaning Fairmont will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory. As for West Bladen, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against West Columbus at 6:00  p.m. West Bladen is facing West Columbus at the right time seeing as West Columbus is stuck on  a  12-game losing streak.
