Soccer Recap: Tuscola Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Tuscola was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Asheville Cougars. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Tuscola's Stonewall Strickland and Elias Schaefer and Asheville's Henry Leisring were all carded.

Tuscola now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Asheville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuscola will host Erwin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Asheville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ School's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Asheville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
