Softball Recap: Jserra Catholic Drops Season-High Score on Millikan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask JSerra Catholic). They never let the Millikan Rams get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

JSerra Catholic got a great performance from Abby Ford as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Brooklyn Lamb was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabel Raftery, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

The win made it two in a row for JSerra Catholic and bumps their season record up to 10-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Millikan, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

JSerra Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Fullerton on the 4th. As for Millikan, they have also already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Canyon del Oro on the 4th.
