Baseball Recap: Bastrop Wins Going Away Against Navarro

Bastrop won the last time they faced Navarro and things went their way on Tuesday too. Bastrop blew past Navarro 9-2.

Frankie Andrada and Cooper Voigt were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Andrada tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Voigt struck out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits Andrada has allowed over his last five matchups. At bat, Andrada went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Voigt went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Andrada a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izaiah Regalado, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Bastrop has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. Navarro is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Bastrop will have a chance to go back-to-back against Navarro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
