Soccer Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Greer Middle College Blazers, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Union County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Greer Middle College are ranked 45th).

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Greer Middle College, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record this season.

Union County will face off against Woodruff at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greer Middle College, they will square off against St. Joseph's Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
