Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman hadn't done well against Hoopeston/Armstrong recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Buffaloes managed a 27-22 win over Hoopeston/Armstrong. This was payback for the Buffaloes, who suffered a 20-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Runyan led the charge by picking up 187 receiving yards and three TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Heck, who threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

When it comes to explaining why Hoopeston/Armstrong lost, don't look at Nicholas Cardenas. Despite the final result, he rushed for 95 yards and one score, and also threw for 30 yards and one TD.

The victory snapped Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Hoopeston/Armstrong, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
