Recap: Eureka Loggers vs. Fortuna Huskies
The Eureka Loggers entered their tilt with the Fortuna Huskies with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Eureka walked away with a 56-47 win over Fortuna on Tuesday. This was payback for Eureka, who suffered a 88-84 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Eureka got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Estrada out in front who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Julian Goodman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Eureka has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Fortuna, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 10-8.
Eureka will take on Arcata at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Arcata focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Fortuna, they will head out on the road to face off against Del Norte at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Del Norte is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
