The Mountain View Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Cotter Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Mountain View came up short against Flippin and fell 9-5. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Clark has hit this season. Kyson Owens was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Cotter had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 13-6 win. Considering the Warriors have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cotter's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Mountain View skirted past Cotter 8-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
