Baseball Recap: Friona Comes Up Short

Friona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 22-10 to the Idalou Wildcats. Even if the Chieftans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Friona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Idalou, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season.

While Friona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
