Softball Recap: Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 5-0 to the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs on Wednesday. If the Blue Jays were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The victory keeps Lynchburg-Clay at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington will hit the road for the first time this season to take on St. Ursula Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they will be playing at home against South Webster at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
