Baseball Recap: Asheboro Takes a Loss

Asheboro was the 15-10 winner over Trinity when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Comets fell 8-4 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Blue Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Adam Curry was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cohen Caviness, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Asheboro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Trinity, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Coming up, Asheboro will square off against Ledford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity, they will face off against Eastern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
