Baseball Recap: Schuylerville's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Schuylerville dropped their record down to 6-2-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the South Glens Falls Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. If the Horses were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jack Boden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Schuylerville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for South Glens Falls, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 16, 2024.

On South Glens Falls' side, not much got past Rowan Brown, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Schuylerville off the board.

While the Horses had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
