Basketball Recap: St. Bede Comes Up Short

St. Bede managed to keep up with Roanoke-Benson until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bruins came up short against the Rockets, falling 69-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bruins have suffered since November 26, 2025.

Despite the loss, St. Bede saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Graham Ross shot 78% from the field to rack up 15 points and six boards. Those 78% shooting accuracy set a new season-high mark for Ross. Another player making a difference was Geno Dinges, who went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points.

St. Bede dropped their record down to 13-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Roanoke-Benson, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-14.
