Baseball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Florala Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Opp Bobcats duke it out with Florala Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Opp came up short against Faith Academy and fell 7-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Florala entered their tilt with McKenzie on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-1.

Kennith Dalton Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Noah Bryan was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Walsh, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Florala pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Opp, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
