Basketball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 57-19 loss at the hands of the Monroe Catholic Rams. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Rams are ranked 13th).

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Monroe Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Delta will welcome Hutchison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is facing Hutchison at the right time seeing as Hutchison is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Monroe Catholic, they will challenge Valdez at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroe Catholic's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Valdez's offense will have their work cut out for them.
