Softball Recap: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Poudre Impalas
While Fort Collins put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Poudre. The Fort Collins Lambkins blew past the Poudre Impalas 19-0. The Lambkins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.
LuElla Miller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Kottwitz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fort Collins was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. The last time their batting average was this high was back in October of 2023.
Fort Collins' win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Poudre, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-22.
Fort Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Poudre, they will head out to take on Fossil Ridge at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fossil Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
